Pintstash brings artists, pubs and brewers together to celebrate one of Britain's most vibrant pieces of living culture.
Because pubs are more than venues, beers are more than products, and the best way to remember a place isn't always a photograph.
Pintstash is a collecting game, but the collection is really about places and the culture that grows around them. We work with artists who see something worth recording in those places — their history, oddness, beauty, people and sense of belonging — and bring that work into the Pintstash collection.
They interpret the pub as a place with a personality — not simply another point on a map.
Independent brewing adds another layer of craft, locality and identity to the places we collect.
Publicans and their communities turn buildings into living monuments to connection, conversation and shared experience.
Each artist has their own Pintstash page, with their story, work and links back to their own studio and shop.
Multi award-winning Welsh artist Christopher Langley has documented pubs as part of the life and memory of Cardiff — paintings of places with histories, characters and stories of their own.
A generic photograph can identify a pub. An artist can tell us something about it. Pintstash artist cards are intended to turn discovery into something richer: a player finds a pub, collects a piece of artwork, discovers the person who made it and begins to see the place differently.
Pintstash is building a network of artists whose work connects with pubs, brewing and the places around them. As the collection grows, different towns and cities can develop their own visual character — not one house style imposed everywhere, but many artists interpreting the places they know.
We're interested in artists with a genuine visual connection to pub culture and place. Pintstash can introduce your work to players while always pointing people back to the artist behind it.
