Christopher Langley is a multi award-winning Welsh artist whose vivid townscapes, landscapes and pub paintings turn familiar places into something worth looking at again.
In 2017 Christopher turned his attention to Cardiff's pubs — places such as The Golden Cross, The Vulcan, The Cow & Snuffers and The White Swan. The idea was not simply to paint recognisable façades. It was to record pubs as part of the city's cultural memory: the architecture, the people, the stories and the role these places play in the life around them.
“Cardiff's pubs have been at the heart of the city's life for centuries.” Christopher Langley · Cardiff Pub Series
Pintstash turns visits to real pubs into a collection. Selected Christopher Langley pub works can give those places something a stock photograph never could: a card with character, authorship and a genuine connection to the place being collected.
Find the pub. Check in. Add the card to your Stash. Then follow the artwork back to the artist who made it.
Artwork remains the property of the artist. Pintstash uses only artwork specifically approved for the collaboration and links players directly to Christopher's own website and shop.
Based in Newport, South Wales, Christopher has been exhibiting professionally since 2012. His work ranges from Welsh coastlines and landscapes to Cardiff, Penarth, Newport and Pontypridd, as well as international city scenes. Across them runs the same idea: atmosphere, colour and the character of a place matter.
